This post has serious and less serious points. In a conversation with another blogosphere member, Greg Mankiw is speculating about the differences between students of economics and other students of social sciences.
- Economists are more agressive in discussions.
- Economists dispute with the statisticians.
- Economists are smarter (I would be unwise trying to reject this point and to be serious, they talk on the phenomenon “on average”, but given the experience with colleagues everyone can definitely falsify this statement for some members of the community).
- Economists might have another personality type.
Any other ideas?
